Penny-wise is Pound Foolish

event safety planning takes money

Money! It is a given… Events are expensive to produce.

As a result, organizers have a tendency to pinch pennies in what are considered non-critical aspects of event production.

This is especially true with non-revenue producing components such as safety.

The quote: ”Penny-wise is sometimes pound foolish…” is a mantra that all event producers should adopt.

Event success is contingent on addressing known and foreseeable safety hazards.

A failure to plan today could have negative consequences tomorrow.

Safety planning does not have to be expensive… just understood.
