Safety is the condition of being protected from or unlikely to cause danger, risk, or injury.

It is important to understand the differences between many of the risk management terms.

The event industry has a tendency to freely interchange risk management terms, primarily using security as a catchall—refer back to security post.

We will evaluate the various terms over the next couple of posts and clear-up any confusion.

Event planners should be proactively seeking methods to provide safe events for patrons.
